Hello everyone :) My name is Lauren and my husband surprised me on my birthday with some chicks! We have been talking and looking into info about raising chickens but that's all it ever was, was just talk. My birthday rolls around and then SURPRISE!!! I was shocked and it was completely unexpected lol. He brought home 4, then Jackson Bro. got a shipment of chicks.. and 4 turned into 10 :D They are now 3 weeks old and their personalities are starting to show :)

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes, and I first got my chickens March 22, 2018 ^.^

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
10 >.<

(3) What breeds do you have?
2 Red Rangers, 1 Golden Sex-Link, 1 Buff Brahma, 1 Rhode Island Red, 2 Silkies, 1 Golden Laced Polish, 2 Ameracuanas.

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Came across it on google, when I would look up different questions about the chickens.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Being around animals, Fishing, Photography, and reading.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have been married to my wonderful Husband, Jeremiah Johnson for 10 years. We are both caregivers for a wonderful guy who has become like family to us. We have 4 dogs (Yellow Lab, Husky, Rat Terrier mix, and Chihuahua) 2 Cats technically kind of 3 because we care for this outdoor cat that comes around :P (Calico, Siamese mix, and tabby/calico mix I assume) 1 Cockatiel named Jack who likes to sing the Pirates of the Caribbean song.

Yeahhhh we love animals lol!

Nice to meet yall :)
