I always thought it was a person with chicken makeup on, like for some movie. It looked human, but alien.

I say keep it, because when we see it, we instantly know who you are. And we wonder what your house looks like.

If we could see the beak to the side, that would be okay, we'd know it was a chicken. But with just the eye, you assume it's looking forward and directly at you. That's what seems so unnatural.
