We have 2 Australian Shepherd's that are mixed .(see my sig). they are the best farm dogs. Our newest Aussie is a rescue dog. The other we acquired from family, her name is "Lucky".

Most of the dog's we have had in the past have been either from the pound or rescue. They really make the best dog's in my opinion

As for a name, did the pound have a name for him? If you didn't like it maybe something that sounds the same ( familiar to the dog)?

If not a dog as nice and smart looking as you have, should name himself very shortly, by his personality.
