So I have a blue Swedish drake whith 3 runner hens and a pair of rouens (male and female) about 1 1/2 months old, fully feathered. I have the rouens in a grow-out pen and am thinking of introducing them to the rest of the flock soon, but two of my hens are broody on some eggs and one is starting to make a nest. The two of the broody's eggs are due to hatch on Wednesday, and I'm not sure if I should let the rouens out before or after the chicks hatch. The hen that is making a nest I plan to take the eggs when she goes broody and have her raise ducklings from the feed store since I already have way too many Swedish x runner eggs hatching.

I would wait before you do any introductions... Hatching her clutch will be stressful enough...:)....

Best wishes...:)

How long should I wait?

A couple of months....I would because she won't wean her Ducklings till they are about 5 or 6 weeks....Then you have Drakes that can be an issue..:(...Its all about timing..:)....
