New d'Uccle Color?

Yes, you can have a bird who is both andalusian and self blue (Bl/bl+) (lav/lav). It looks more like blue than like self blue. However, andalusian blue does not dilute the red to light buff. Lavender, however, dilutes it to isabel.

You wont have a bird SHOWING both andalusian blue, and self blue. I have personally seen andalusian blue dilute red to a 'bufflike' color, say what you will. Andalusian blue will work as a dilutor on several different colors, as in brassy back, the brass is diluted when blue is added, just as mille fleur is diluted when crossed with blue. But I have noticed from past posts how you know it all, so I wont bother arguing with someone that knows it all.

Hmmm, I guess "Lemon Blue Mottled" doesn't really fit then, lol. The spots are kind of a mix between mottling and the mille fleur/porcelain

Maybe call them Blue Hackled Mille Fleurs? Or Blue H.S.(Hackle/Saddle) Mille Fleurs? Here are some close-up feather pics, a pic of my lighter hen, and a pic of the supposed father.

Their supposed Father, Deadly Nightshade.

My lighter hen, Opal.

Any more ideas on possible names or the other half of their lineage?

blue splash... i see two shades of blue on the blue feathers... also the hackle feathers are dark blue... a self blue wouldn't do that... so it's not a lavender...

kinda like this guy...

There are so many different color combinations in these birds, that if I included them all, I'd end up with a name that took up a whole piece of paper, lol. Maybe I should name them after something that they remind me of. Mille Fleurs, or "Million Flowers", got their name because they reminded their breeder of a field of flowers, and Porcelains got their name because they reminded their breeder of perfect, little porcelain statues. I think I may call mine Wildflowers, because of all the cheerful patterns and colors in their plumage. I thought about Blue Lemon, but there is already one of those.

I found a site that had several colors I had never heard of before, and only one looked close to the same as mine. The Blue Lemon Mille Fleur cockerel that I found looks pretty close to my rooster, but it doesn't have a white tail and the hens are completely different. Who here thinks I should call them Wildflower d'Uccles?
