A few weeks ago I put up a post asking how to build a good duck house and here are our results. I think it came out pretty good :)

The total size is 8x12 with a 4x4 enclose house inside. One door for us to access the house and another door for us to access the pen. Hardware cloth has been pretty much attached to every hole from the inside.

we are thinking about using sand for the floor of the run. Anyone have any opinions on the easiest floor to maintain ?
We get wood chips for free in our area, just tree-trimming waste from CalTrans, which are easy to rake up. Straw is economical and great if you have a large compost bin going. I have used wood pellets before too. Those turn to sawdust when they get wet and also compost really well.

Really nice looking run! Thanks for sharing!
