That's what it is. The inner membrane is white. I took a qtip and moistened it and added some extra warm wet sponges to the incubator. It seems to want to get out but just can't wriggle around enough.

Keep the humidity up in there and keep an eye on that membrane. Also try not to open the incubator too much, that lets too much moisture out. It will wiggle around when it's ready to zip. Remember it's a slooooow process for ducklings.

Sumi knows what she is talking about. I know it's hard to keep hands off. Some folks recommend, sitting on your hands so you don't interfere.
