New duck (VIDEO)

I love them, even though they actually make a sound when they poop, they poop a lot, and they make the ground all poopy and muddy.

Almost as big as my pekins. Not as fat and fluffy as they are. Ill get a better vid of him walkin around when i get some time.

Does he seem to be longer in the tail than your other ducks...and does he wag it a lot when he is happy? (scovy trait)

Does he hiss at all? (also a scovie trait)

Huh, that would be a cool cross, but you can forget about getting ducklings from him if he is indeed half/part 'Scovie.

Muscovies crossed with mallard-derived breeds (basically all ducks EXCEPT muscovies) are sterile, like a horse/donkey hybrid. That's why they're called mules.

But I'm still thinking he's more of a mallard/rouen with pekin.

He may just be in between molts...?

If there hasn't been any eggs in three years, and s/he makes raspy noises, could it be a female that has damaged ovaries, therefore no eggs?? DID SHE UNDERGO A SEXCHANGE?!

Still I think it may be a male...

Wow this is evil! The OP had no idea we would all be foaming at the mouth to figure this out!

Listening to that video I find it suprising that those different noises came from one duck, because it was making both definate raspy drake noises and plus a kind of chuckleling sound I would normally associate with a hen. Maybe this is a case of a sex change as Duck Keeper suggested, due to damaged ovaries on a female.
