Meet Coco and Lola. Coco is about 7 months old now, and we got her to spend time outside with our drake and one other female who are black sweedish. Coco is a chocolate Ancona, who I thought were a bigger breed. However, I wouldn't say she's half the size of my others but she's very noticeably smaller I'd say by at least 1 lb or 1 1/2. Will she get bigger eventually? Or will my drake hurt her with at all if she doesn't? Our sweeds are 5+lbs, Coco doesn't seem to be much more than 3 or 4.

We got Lola to stay in house and keep our injured one company. Lola is almost 2 months and seems to be a mix of Ancona and blue sweedish from what we were told, she was one of the runt eggs that got missed so we really have no idea where she came from.

Also thinking of switching to a layer feed or anything with nutritional value for the older ones. Would the layer have any affect on drakes?

With adult Ducks lots of people around here feed either the Duck finisher or Turkey finisher mixed with Oat and Barley crumble and a less corn chicken scratch mix....

Finisher was also on my list along with Mazuri Waterfowl Maintenance. They already get oats and cracked corn. I'd just like to get them on a little better diet to make sure they get all the nutrients they need. So mixing the finisher in would be enough for them? How are you supplementing niacin for them?

I do give my flock a cup of whole corn a day along with meal worms my gander would probably pack up and leave if I didn't. They get a lot of exercise so no worry on over weight.

I use a Non GMO feed similar to Purina Flock Raiser. All flock feed is actually better for our ducks if you can't get duck feed. Since all flock is formulated for all poultry.

Like Nutrena All Flock? I know they have NatureWise and Country Feeds (not sure of the difference) I just want to give them something better.

What about the size difference for mating, or if she's going to grow as she gets older?
