New duckies :) (with questions)

Yes like Nutrena All flock not sure on the others you mentioned.

Smaller duck in how old? My Muscovy drake weighs 10lb his Muscovy females weigh in at 4-6 lbs. Quiet a bit of size difference. And like chickens really says water for breeding is much easier on the girls.

I do give my flock a cup of whole corn a day along with meal worms my gander would probably pack up and leave if I didn't. They get a lot of exercise so no worry on over weight.

I use a Non GMO feed similar to Purina Flock Raiser. All flock feed is actually better for our ducks if you can't get duck feed. Since all flock is formulated for all poultry.
dUMB QUESTION but how can you tell if a duck is too fat. I am still not sure what amount to feed my ducks but they look good and get to freerange the rest of the day but still always act like they are starving at night. but I think that is a duck thing

Coco is about 6-7 months and Lola is 2 months she's staying inside with NaNa.
I'm going back and forth between layering feed and finisher feed. Is the layering feed okay for my drake ?!?!?

I mix my layer with Broiler which is closest I can come to All flock. That way my drakes and roosters and gander aren't getting a lot of calcium. I also have oyster shell out for my layers. I keep close eye on their shell quality of my layers to make sure they are doing okay on this combo.

You need to keep Lola away from your drake till she is at least 4-5 months old. Maybe he'd be a gentleman maybe not.

Mine forage on a half acre daily and I keep fermented feed out at all times during the day. Mine eat all manner of bugs and no telling what else. I think a few of my Muscovy females may be a little over weight but then again during laying season they all look heavy through the tummy down. I have never measured how much I feed. But from your pic and looking at your Pekins they don't look over weight. Those would be the 2 to judge the others because from all I have heard Pekins are gluttons when it comes to food. They are probably getting plenty of exercise daily. You could cut back and only feed in the evenings and see how it goes if they are out foraging all day. I just feel my layers need the extra feed to keep them laying healthy strong eggs. Also to keep them healthy too So I free feed.
