New duckling behaviour

Would you think about getting a couple companions for her? It's really best for them to have constant company, and eventually that will be too cumbersome for a human. It's what they're designed for and will make her/him happiest in the long run!

I would love to but unlike in America (I’m Australian) I can’t waltz into my local Bunnings and buy some :/ and it would take upwards of a month for me to find eggs for sale and hatch them, the only option I have is to find a seller with similar aged ducklings in the town over as my town has covid popping up but I haven’t been able to find anyone close enough. It’s a bit frustrating knowing she’s lonely when I’m not with her but I try my best

Your duckling is cute, but she now needs ducky friends. Please find her another duckling -- or even two more ducklings. Ducklings are social and we humans just aren't up to providing the right socialization for a duck to have a full and contented life. Your duck is still young enough to have another younger duckling introduced.

Nectarine, try using social media and the internet to find ducklings that you can collect near you. They might be younger or a little older than yours: it's just very important for your duckling's wellbeing that there are ducky friends around to socialize with. It will not be easy to introduce her to other ducks when older.
