Would you think about getting a couple companions for her? It's really best for them to have constant company, and eventually that will be too cumbersome for a human. It's what they're designed for and will make her/him happiest in the long run!

I would love to but unlike in America (I’m Australian) I can’t waltz into my local Bunnings and buy some :/ and it would take upwards of a month for me to find eggs for sale and hatch them, the only option I have is to find a seller with similar aged ducklings in the town over as my town has covid popping up but I haven’t been able to find anyone close enough. Nectarine, try using social media and the internet to find ducklings that you can collect near you. They might be younger or a little older than yours: it's just very important for your duckling's wellbeing that there are ducky friends around to socialize with.
