new duckling!?!?!

I got the cutest new duckling!!
but I could only get one and I am afraid that my duckling is going to get depressed being away from its freinds.
I do have one duck who is the reason I got this one so she would have a friend because her friend died, but the duckling is to small to go out right now.
Is there anything I can do for her or him?

I ended up with a single duckling because one didn't make it through shipping. I put her in a brooder with a feather duster taped to the inside and a mirror. She got a LOT of attention from us as well. After a week I couldn't take it anymore and found someone who had another mallard the same age. I put them in together and she established her seniority. We then found out the new duckling is a Rouen and he/she is now twice the size of our first duckling!

Anyway...she seemed OK with the duster and mirror. My son and I were the ones that kept feeling so bad that she didn't have a buddy! We tried putting her in with our chicks, but they were having none of that....
