I have 9 new ducklings that I picked up on Wednesday. I bought some liquid B Complex from walmart as I can't for the life of me find the amount of niacin in Dumor chick starter.

How much do they need the box says it contains 20mg per mil and the easiest way to give it to them?
I saw the soak the meal worms in it and give it to them that way. I would do that but I forgot chick grit so no treats for them yet.

So cute! Maybe @Miss Lydia can answer that question. I use brewers yeast for my ducklings. What breeds do you got?
Thank you, and from looking at duckling pictures on google. I think I may have 2 khaki campbells, 2 pekin, and 2 whelsh harlequin duck, and 3 runners.

I haven't used either and my Ducklings are great each year. I feed a starter for Chicks, ducks, geese and turkeys. I feed lots of greens too
Thank you, I saw Purina flock raiser is what they were using. I use Nutrena Nature wise and it is for 7 weeks and up. Since I have chicks and saw others just using chick starter I figured I would just use it.

You’ll need niacin for the pekins and any heavy breed you have.

Well you can but what I use is formulated for Ducks too.

I’m not sure how much niacin is in Dumor but no chick starter has the amount of niacin that water fowl babies need. Not everyone has access to feed that is formulated for all poultry so we supplement. It’s very important so our ducklings don’t get deficient in the niacin they are missing in the chick starter. So in comes a niacin supplement it can be Nutritional yeast or Liquid BComplex . I’d chose Nutritional yeast before brewers yeast it has more niacin and the liquid has all the bs so it can benefit especially if they are already showing symptoms of leg or neurological issues. To treat all your ducklings I with the liquid you’d either put it in water or over mealworms or peas. But like you said you need chick grit first. The Nutritional yeast can be sprinkled over the feed 1 Tab per cup of feed. Liquid b is 1ml daily. What ever you choose be sure to supplement it’s very important for their leg strength and brain health.
