New ducklings ???'s on feeding and do they look healthy pics included.

That is good to know that spitting up really isn't a bad thing. I haven't seen him do it this morning.

What about the little pool that is in with them, should I take it out or only have a very small amount in it. The pool in 6"x36" with 3" of water in it.

1. the big 1 looks about 3wks and the little about 1 1/2
these are just my guesses
2. yes they are old enough to be outside
3. only duck /waterfowl feed or ampro
4.mine spit up until they where about 4wks
5. i think they look healthy but it is hard to tell cause they are so fluffy
6. look just like my black swedish
7. relaxe and enjoy the ducks. if your friend takes these guys back i give you a mth to hold out before you get your own

Why does everyone keep refering to the white on chest? Did I just get the weird one? When i got my Cayuga I had trouble telling it and my Black Swede apart. Here is their baby pic: (its bad but you can still see the white on both of their chests)

Streemers~ I don't know if I will get ducks all though after having these little guys for not even 24 hrs I would have to admit it would be hard to turn some down if they ever crossed my path.

We are getting 7 day old chickens in two weeks.

The large duck is almost black and the color on his chest is a really light yellow almost white. He also has a one white spot on both feet by his first inner toe. The little one is brown and the chest is yellow. His feet are all black. If that helps clear things up, the pictures aren't the best, they huddle away from the camera.

They looked like they were getting hot so I put the larger one in the water and started quacking for the smaller. The smaller followed. They are so cute when they swim. The larger can put his entire head and neck under water and jet cross the little pool. The little one just dunks his head under. The water is sallow enough for the little one to stand so he doesn't get to tired.

My friend told me that after the little one swims he just falls over and lays down for a long time and doesn't move much. I think they kept him in to deep of water for to long and he just gets to tired. He did really good and climbed right out and is doing fine walking around and exploring.
