New Ducklings!

Hello!
Thanks to the help from you all my day-olds arrive in one week!
Was wondering if anyone had any tips on the first few days with new ducklings? Also, when they arrive should I cuddle then right away or wait a bit due to shipping being stressful?
I cannot wait!

Congrats on new babies! When they first get in the first thing you need to do is get them in the brooder and let them warm up and eat and drink for a few hours since they will be very hungry and thirsty and probably cold. After a couple hours though you can hold them as long as they look like they've perked up and are active and looking good.

I remember dipping my new arrivals' bills in lukewarm water as I took them from the shipping box to the brooder. I also "test drove" the heat lamps to make sure I could keep the brooder at 90F.
