I recently adopted eight ducklings with the goal of them enjoying our pond. They are currently living in an enclosure, we let them out during the day and they swim in a kiddy pool. They don’t venture far from their enclosure. When and how can I introduce them to the pond and will they come back to sleep in the safety of their coop?

How old are your ducklings? What breed? Birds of prey are one of the worst predators for ducklings and adults, snapping turtles are another. And if you take them to the pond they may not come back to their coop at evening. As for coming back to the coop put their feed and water at their coop that may give them incentive to come home. But over the years we have seen many on here who can't get their ducks back once they are introduced to the pond.
How far is the coop to the pond?
