New Ducks Old Ducks

Are you giving any niacin like Nutritional yeast liquid b complex. Usually leg weakness means a niacin deficiency.
No, since they were two - three months old when I purchased them I figured I didn't need any. I am feeding them Purina Duck Feed Pellets with 19% protein. Also, about two cups of mealworms for three ducks daily.

Sometimes even when they have the best feed they can still have a deficiency. Wouldn’t t hurt to give some liquid b complex and let her rest for at least over the weekend (keep her from walking much) and see if it helps. B complex seems to help better than anything when they have a leg issue.

What and where do you recommend I get this?

TSC carries it Durvet is the name it will say injectable but we just put 1 ml over a small amount of mealworms so they gobble the whole dose down. If it’s a deficiency it usually takes less than a week to notice a difference. If it’s an injury it can still help support while healing.

Hope you had a great Christmas! I attached a Video of the duck I was talking about. After watching her for a couple of days I think I was overly concerned. Your opinion?

TSC was out of Durvet in Cookeville, TN. I ordered some Brewers Yeast from Amazon and will give them a spoonful with some mealworms. Thanks for all your help.

I had to upload it to Youtube I am told. Here it is.
I think she is walking to far back on her right foot which looks like that leg isn't as strong as it should be. I would def get her on some liquid B complex. It can be ordered on line Amazon carries it. When one is having an issue the liquid b just pulls them through quicker. The Brewers yeast and Nutritional Yeast are great for sustaining but when there is an issue the liquid b is best hands down. You can also buy human B complex and crush it and sprinkle over feed but again will she get full dose?
