Hi guys! Im colleen and fairly new to poultry keeping and finally decided to join the page! Ive been search it for info this year but finally got the guts to join.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I dont have any chickens yet and im fairly new to ducks too! I got my first two duck in March of this year, followed by 3 more a week later and an abandoned duck they we found and sadly she passed.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We currently only have one duck. It was a steap learning curve in the beginning, we lost to ducks to foxes at about a month old and just lost two more to botulism
the duck that we found had many many health issues and we saw multiple vets and she fought so hard but sadly passed away about 3 weeks after we found her. Now we only have one girl named poppy
(3) What breeds do you have?
Poppy is a Pekin
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Google searches actually. I like to research and found this page very helpful!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share
Im a work at home mom of a 4 year old boy been married for 7 years, we have 3 horses, 2 two dogs, a cat and a canary beside our duck. I run a small shop sewing and make everything from childrens wear, cloth diapers and mother items to dog collar, duck diapers and household needs.
Hoping to find some hatcherys local to me to at least find a couple friends for my lonely poppy! If you have any recommendations i would love that! I look forward to getting to know you all!!!
