Chirping
Hi all, new to back yard chickens. I have 2 EE bantams that are almost 4 weeks old, unsexed. One is all black, and one is yellow but now developing a brown pattern on the feathers.
My biggest curiosity is what sex these are as I can't keep rooster's where I live. The black one is smaller, smaller legs, but the behavior acts like a roo. Stands up straight and sticks head up constantly. Will always fly onto my hand when I stick it in the brooder. The yellow one is always the follower to the black one. So only when the black one comes out, does the yellow one want to come out. So to me the black one acts like a roo and the yellow one behaves like a hen.
The yellow one squats more where the black one stands up and stretches. The yellow one is bigger and has bigger legs. Physically, not looking at feathers because I can't read those, the yellow one is bigger, bigger legs, which would lean more roo, while the black one is more petite.
