hello forum: I am robin ( Wekiva Bird) i hope i am in the right place. I have been spending a lot of time on this site. I have decided to join . I miss getting fresh eggs from my 4-H neighbor. she has grown up gotten married and moved to north carolina. her australops had died old age and the rooster was killed by a snake.

I plan to get some chickens as soon as my coop is finished , and I need to decied what breed to get. i am down to 3 or 4 breeds. i know i want true ameraucanas and i think i want some dual purpose heritage breeds that lay large to X-large eggs. any information will be appreciated.
