My second little golden comet (Lori) just left the ranks of the Drainbow Sisters to join the working girls. We are now up to 2 layers out of 6. She was hatched in mid-June. Her over-achieving sister has been laying for 3 weeks now, an egg a day missing one every 6 or 7 days. She may have waited a bit, but her egg was much bigger, the same size as a store bought large. I would take a picture, but I am in the middle of eating it. Yum!
The other 4 are EE's, so I'm not expecting them to start until the daylight hours are longer. But at least now my hubby and I don't have to compete for the same egg every morning. I hide it, but he finds it at least half the time ;
