New eggs!

Oops guess I held my phone upside down when I took the pic lol
Oh the wait, still nothing, I may have seen one of the marans wiggle, but that could have been my imagination. Ok tomorrow is hatch day, I hope the little egg heads marked it on their calendar. I had to re-adjust 2 of the eggs yesterday(day 19), so I opened it during lockdown. I picked up the eggs, but made sure I didn't turn them and sat them down very gently in a better position. I hope it didn't kill them, but I had to add water and couldn't get to the reservoir without scooting them over. Please little peeps come out so I can begin sleeping again without waking up every hour wondering if you are going to hatch or if I'm a killer. :/

It has begun! I got a chirp, wiggle and even a pip. Woohoo!!!!
I wish I didn't have to work this morning. I will have to get a webcam for next time. So excited, I hope all goes well while I'm gone.
:weee
can you see it?

No one is out yet, but it's a close race. Americaunas in the lead with one almost ready to pop out and the other with a small pip, in second we have the Wyandottes with one good sized pip with beak showing and one still quiet with full shell and fallen to last place are the Marans, no pips yet, but a powerful wiggle and lots of peeping from the left one of the twins, with such determination we may get a surprise power hatch.Stay tuned for updates :D

Hello world!
Surprise win by the wyandotte

Black copper maran in second

and after nearly having to peel him out of the egg that he has been trying to escape for over 24 hours finally the americauna

Waiting on one of each, 2 already pipped, but I think the other maran may be a quitter

Aw, so cute! It's amazing how differently they hatch, some just get right to it and others take their own sweet time. Good luck on the others!!!

That little Maran surprised me the most. When I went in there this morning there was only a tiny crack in the egg. I made coffee and a quick toaster breakfast and when I went back in there he was. He is a power hatcher, he or she needs a powerful name 'Herky' or 'Amazonia'

We may need to get stronger walled incubators and put padding on the other eggs if we develop that trait. There will be a small explosion for each one that hatches. After he hatched the remaining eggs were rearranged :jumpy

Number 4 hatched while I was at work, the other Wyandotte and the poor 2nd Americauna was stuck to his shell, peeping for help. I carefully peeled most of him out, he can stretch now, but his butt is still in the shell, so would that be considered a half hatch?
I'm pretty sure now the last Maran is a quitter, too bad, the other chick is so cute and is already full of personality, I so hope it's a hen.
The first little Ameraucana isn't even fully dried yet and already has fluffy cheeks.
Pics coming soon

Ok final score 5 out of 6 and I broke the egg and there was nothing but yolk in it, but being so dark I couldn't see much inside when candling. I'll post pics in the raising chicks section since we are done with incubation and hatching now :)
