Hey Yall, my wife wanted a planter box for her herbs close to the back door. She cooks A LOT (1st generation Pole who makes a lot of old world dishes), and with a little one, doesn't always have a chance to run out to the garden (bright green plot in the background) and grab bunches of fresh herbs. Since she is about 6' tall, I decided to build an elevated planter for her so she doesn't have to lean over constantly. I made this 5' long, 2' wide, by 36" tall all cedar planter box as an early birthday present. She has already said, I may have to build her more! I will be building a hinged fenced top to keep the chickens out.
