New Englanders! Much ado about New England!

I'm back on BYC and feeling good

Thank you to everyone who had me in their thoughts and prayers after my accident. I'm just recently starting to interact some with my chickens again. Mostly all I can do is watch them right now, but it's fun to see them running and scratching around. My Wyandottes are all grown now and looking beautiful. I have to get some photos one of these days so I can show off my girls. I do still have one Wyandotte cross hen to sell if anyone is interested. I'll try to get a pic of her in the next few days, she is a very pale yellow with some darker buff in her hackle feathers. Not remarkably beautiful but pretty just the same. She should be laying already I would think, or if not yet, soon.

Just for awwwws, here are the two beautiful kittens I got from Gypsy earlier this summer (and God bless my husband for taking care of them and all the other animals while I have been unable!)

Thanks chickn! 'Buckmark' or 'Buck' is a beautiful kitty for sure! Really he is the biggest sweetheart too. I dare say even sweeter than my Cara, but don't tell her that! The other one, Annabelle, was supposed to go to someone else but they backed out on her and we were happy in the end because we had really grown attached to her while she was here waiting to go to her new home. It's funny, Annabelle is like some hollywood actress, she looks like she has collagen lips painted dark pink....

It's just so funny how they stand out against her black coat.

Welcome back firedove!

Those are very beautiful cats you got there; we used to have a black cat named Sammy, but then he got out and ran away.

He was always kinda strange; very shy and skittish to some people, yet sweet, shy and friendly to others.

Not to get off-topic, but for anyone in Maine or around there(and is willing to drive), please look at this thread and let me know what you think:

I posted in the other pets forum but I'll spread the word here too...

A new low cost feline spay/neuter clinic has opened up in SW NH. Right where NH, VT, and MA meet. Spays are $70 and Neuters $45. Low cost shots too. No income requirements. Check out their website http://www.spayneuternow.com Right now they are taking appointments for some other types of things since they just opened a few weeks ago and appointments are slow to fill up. If you need something done with your cat or even some things for dogs, give them a call or e-mail.

Because of the laws for non-profit in NH the COPS clinic is not a non-profit group but they are accepting any non-deductable donations you would like to give. E-mail for more details on how to give.

Welcome back firedove. I posted on the swap thread but thought I would post here too. Im looking for a Silkie rooster. Splash being my first choice but if not than blue or black. Im also on the lookout for a nice SLW roo :)

Annabelle is that way. I hope she never runs away! I think she would be hard to get back if she took off since she wouldn't let many people near her.

Thanks chickenlady81! It's too bad I don't have the SLW cockerel I had in the spring anymore

I hope you can find one. I'll be doing some hatching in the spring with my Wyandottes but not before then.
