I may not be on long lake but in that general area! Yuck!!!

Is it snowing anywhere? Overcast and 18 in the Bantam Hutch.

We (Sebago Lake area) are supposed to get up to two feet of snow! It's really coming down now! I want to start seeds and incubate eggs! No sense in that! We'll prob have snow on the ground until April again!

) and there was about 8 or so Robins. Yes, Mrs&Mrs Red breast! If anyone had told me that, I'd have laughed at them all the way home. Unbelievable.
They were eating seeds from the feeders that was out. Not only that, but the chick-a-dees songs are changing! We are not that far off, think of this white crapola as fertilizer.

Raymond certainly was hit with that ice storm we had a while back, it almost leaves you with post traumatic disorder if you have pine or any trees near your house and what is left the lack of power will finish you off, and freezing pipes etc.
Hang in there, I personally have been chomping at the bit so to put eggs in the incubator. Can't wait to show pics!

Whoa, unusual happenings out there, I hear a snow plow!

Spook, those aren't returning robins, those are robins from more northerly regions, they think you're 'south', away from the horrible cold they're having up in Canada! I've got some here, too. They have paler breasts than the robins we have during the summer. Those are the smart ones who have really gone south, they're sipping Margaritas in the sun on some beach in Florida

I dont let mine out on a day like this ... they would rather be out but I am afraid my white silkie will get lost in all of this... It is really picking up...No plows yet...
