Hey you New Englanders, do any of you have turkeys that have been raised with poultry that I could buy some eggs from? I am interested in raising them as food, so do not offer any prize critter, lol.
Honestly, it befuddles me to why I think I can do this. I need to build an incubator (to costly for starters to buy one) and then get the eggs to hatch! How difficult is it to raise turkeys?....

Someone talk me out of this, please...........please........pretty please?

Just found this spot. Southern mid-coast Maine here. A little chilly but most of our snow washed away the other night. Only about 4-5 inches left with a nice ice topping. I guess we can't complain looking at what folks get in the north west and central states. I'm thumbing through the seed catalogues that are coming in the mail. Chicken catalogues are here too. I'm not ordering until April for delivery in May. Chicks go from the basement to the garage to the coop just like the seedlings, except for the last stop.

chick catalogs, chick emails, i am trying to stay strong. someone help me. i am weak you know. i cant stand it. must order chicks, must order chicks, must stop
