are you all aware of the swap coming up in milford nh on the 22 of feb?
i just sent out notice to the people on the new england chicken swap list

I have a few eggs coming from the ladies with the red truck and red trailer, I'm looking forward to April or May when I can get some eggs to hatch. Can't wait. Perhaps we will see you then, the ladies offered to meet me 1/2 way, and that is pretty close!
Have a good trade, wish I was there!!!

Hi, everyone. I'm in Canton, Mass.

Let me know if there's anything chicken going on
in New England, as I'd love to go. I just started
last year with four Dominique chicks that arrived
in mid-July. I built a Victorian-style coop that is
better insulated than our own 1880 home that
we are slowly but surely renovating. One of
these days when it gets really cold we're
going to switch with the chickens!

Hi North Andover. I live in Groveland and work in Andover - probably drive right past your house on my way to work. Good place to get chicks is the Dodge Grain in Salem, NH. They start selling chicks early spring.

Yeah, I spoke with them over the weekend. The guy I talked to said they normally get an order the first week of March. We live off of 114 behind the Fudruckers and blockbuster. Did you buy chicks at Dodge?

I know where Blockbusters is on 114. Didn't know there was a Fudruckers there as well - yumm, good to know.

I breed my own bantam cochins but a few years back thought I'd buy a couple of ringers for the Topsfield Fair egg competion, my bantams certainly weren't going to get the prize with their little eggs. Any ways, I bought a Orpington pullets. I buy my grain their regularly. In the spring they do have a great selection to choose from or they will place an order for you from a hatchery on the cape I believe and will sell you what you want so you don't have to get 25. They sell the rest there. There will be a few shows/sales in later spring in the area as well.
