Hartford looks so nice from a distance - I wish I could enjoy the city like many people do. I would rather sit in the woods than walk around to see the site's and sounds of the city Although the charter oak boat launch/park is a nice place to stop and eat lunch during the workweek. I guess it doesn't help that I work in NYC and Boston on a daily basis.

I've been down through some interesting areas in CT, Hartford has its beauty, now I can't think, down on the coast, like 15-20 near NY, that area is sharp looking in its own beauty.
I have been through VA and the inbetween places and to be honest, CT was the very first place I'd ever seen shade grown tabbaco! I tell ya, wow, that was impressive. Of course the drying barns amaze me too.
I think that where ever you go, be it the deep south of NE :0)
or the deep North of Vermonth, NH, ME, there is always something amazing and historical. I love it.

I wanted to share my babies, they are Bantam Cochin chicks, 1 week old!

I hope they have big butts when they get feathers! So far its impressive!

2nd to silkies there isnt a cuter chick than a cochin! love the feathered lets. how many did you end up with? are these scooters eggs? my brain, i probably know, just cant remember

They are wild- omg, you hardly hear them until someone finds a large piece of corn from the mash and they are all wanting it.
Now Silkies, they are something I look at and wonder about. The feet interest me, how can something with that many feet sit on a perch- or don't they?
People have them in shows, and they show superior, don't let much bother them. Cochins are hanging out, head in "hand" watching people rather, board. (But if you have a cochin in the coop, they look the same way! ha ha).
We have 5 of 6. 2 blue, 1 mottled, 2 black. It will be neat to see them grown with their feathers, then see who looks like whom.

Just jumping in, don't usually visit this forum but it's 7:25am and I still can't sleep so I'm looking for something to occupy some time. Anyways, thought I'd stop in and say hi. I "know" some of you but not all. What is everybody up to this weekend? (Aside from hopping chickenstock to chickenstock?)
