Hi!!!!!! I'm so excited about chickens!!!! We just bought a 25 acre farm in a fairytail-ish unincorporated little community of East Farmington and I have sooooo many questions about building or buying my coop for our Minnesota (oops just moved to Wisconsin lol) cold and humidity and everything in between. I want to have my coop / brooder ready for chicks by my birthday March 15th. I also can't wait to bring home my dream horse Mustang Hank from the boarding facility up the road while we are in transition and introduce him to his new BFF that we pick for him! I've never done a forum or any social media so .... am I in the right place to ask all my questions?
THANKS!!!

It's always excited to read introductions from new members!
Since you have other Animals other than Poultry, you might find our sister site interesting and educational as well. You will obviously find me there occasionally as well!

:welcome Glad your joined hope you work out your coops before your birthday and all goes as planned for you smorelli . If you get prefab coops be sure to check out all the reviews on the one you choose .We most of us are not big fans of prefab . Ask tons of questions . It's easier to do it well on the front end than trying fix it after trouble strikes. Someone will have the answer to your question . If not well we'll just make something up;) :frow

G’Day from down under smorelli :frow Welcome and Congratulations!:clap

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

You might want to also Find Your State Thread and pop in and say hello.

Personally, I have found the Topic of the Week articles a great resource and a one stop shop for questions which may have already been discussed within the BYC membership group.

You might also find this forum of assistance: Coop & Run Forum

Best wishes and good luck!
