I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my SF hen!! She’s the smallest by far of all my girls, but she’s the alpha in the pecking order. I named her Butterfly because she had that marking on her back as a chicklet. She is from Meyer Hatchery and is happy, healthy, and full of piss and vinegar all the time. Can’t ask for more.

If I recall correctly, she had those markings on her beak too. I think it’s just the normal color. I hope your chicks grow up strong and healthy too. And obtw, all my chicks were raised on natural, washed, coarse grain river sand. It’s awesome!

I love SF's There is a heritage breeder of this breed. Myers are good people .:yesss:

Welcome!! You have gotten great advice so just wanted to say congrats on your faverolles babies!! I love mine so much and will always have some in my flock. They have such personality!! One of mine hatched eggs and is doing an amazing job as a mama currently🥰 99% sure they had varying amounts of coloring on their beaks also. They might still have it and I've just gotten used to it, I'll have to look tomorrow!

She is gorgeous!! Thanks for the reassurance on the beak mark, I tend to overthink and worry too much! Thanks for the tip on the sand too!
