Thanks! We are at the hospital with a sick toddler this afternoon, but I will see if I can get a better pic and post there later.

UPDATE: After putting the sick and exhausted kiddo to bed, I went out to check on and water the chicks. I was going to take new pics of the weird dark spot/spikes on the one chick. But then I noticed that ALL 6 have it to some degree. The chick who has been feathering out the most has them all over, and especially at the top of her wings. I could not find any sign of damage/blood. And they are definitely stiff. Since they all have them, since the most mature has more, and since all are otherwise happy and healthy, I'm going to take a confident guess that they are feathers coming in.
