We can collapse different forums that we are not interested in down so they take up less room and we don't have to scroll through them to get to the ones we do want.
Here's how:
Look at the right hand side of the screen in the blue strip of each forum.
There is a - or + sign there.
Example:
If you click on the - sign it will collapse that forum down. If it's a + sign it will fold it back out!

See how the forums with the x's by them collapsed down?
