I have them in the brooder now, with a pretty hot lamp.

If you buy chicks at a feed store, you get Easter Eggers, not Araucanas. And most likely, not Ameracaunas, either. But, you will get pretty green eggs from the pullets !
White Araucanas have yellow legs, not dark legs.
