I've searched this one here but didn't find an answer. I have 2 flocks in two different coops. The young flock consists of 21 BCMs, seven who are cockerals about 12 weeks old so they are getting pretty big but not as big as the other flock which has 23 hens and 1 rooster. The older flock free ranges all day and I really want to let the younger ones out too. I figured they can run from the older hens but what about the rooster? Any suggestions? Do I need to wait until they are older?
