New Flock Mama

Hello,

I am sort of new to chickens. Had them as a young kid but I only gathered eggs and fed them. So all the other stuff that goes with them, I am definitely new to. I started in April of 2021. I have 10 hens (Easter Eggers, Ameraucana, Barred Rocks) and will be getting some Light Brahma's in the next couple weeks.

I really enjoy spending time with these crazy birds. They all very unique personalities. I have one that used to kind of hug me as a chick, now she will fly to my head or shoulder and hang out while I am in the run. She will even sit there while I'm cleaning the coop. Heaven forbid if I should be holding one of the others.

I am so glad that I found this community. Over the period of my research, I have come across quite a few threads on here with people having similar issues or questions. I finally decided that I needed to be a part of it.

We are so glad you finally joined us. The folks here are so helpful with every aspect of raising chickens.
