My husband and I, pretty much, have a zoo in our house. About 4 weeks ago, we added 6 day-old chicks to our family.
As of right now we have:
3 Golden Laced Wyandottes (Big Betsy, Thing 1, and Thing 2)
3 feather footed bantams (one dark brahma roo - Pato, one dark colored hen - Mini, and one white cochin hen - Ms. Butters)
3 ridiculously rambunctious cats (Charlie - 4 yrs, Mikie - 2 yrs, Ella - 10 mos)
2 insanely entertaining ferrets (Eddie - 5 yrs, Suzie - abt 3 yrs)
4 fish (2 bettas, a pleco, and one 5 yr old guppy)
last, but not least,
over 50 mice and 2 african soft furred rats.
whew!
I am a wildlife and domestic pet rescuer and I have a steadily changing flow of random boarders and rescues running through here too. We are super excited to have the chickies with us and they have been a blast so far! The cats are scared of them currently, hopefully that lasts.
This forum has been a GREAT resource of information! Thanks for all the info and I hope to be able to share some of mine too.
