Hi I just got 4 chicks from tractor supply (gift from my sister) there are 2 production reds and i'm not sure what the other 2 are the are little yellow chicks the wings are turning more white. I have been reading everything I can on the care of chickens. I am a city girl all the way but my husband and I joke we were born the wrong era. We have kept and garden and fruit tress and bushes for 30 years. we had bees until just a few years ago. I have canned or frozen everything we grow that is not eaten fresh. We live in the city of Columbus Ohio, in the suburbs. I am so excited about raising my own chickens. We have an dog kennel that we are going to secure with chicken wire for the chicken run, my husband is going to build the coop. I am trying to find some simple plans for our first coop. Any suggestions on where to find the easiest free plans.
