Yesterday my grand baby could not finish her TOP RAMON so we gave the 18" noodles to the girls ........... Well one would grab one and run off with the others in pursuit for the long noodle that was dragging and following the chick with the noodle in its beak all over the place until gone and then they would go back to the bowl and repeat. This was going on with them for over an hour and what a funny thing to watch. They would all run after the one with the noodle and leave an entire pile in a dish to chase the one with the noodle and then come back to start it all over again running all over the run chasing the one who had the noodle. How funny these little girls are...

If anyone would have told me at 59 I would love raising, watching, feeding, playing with chickens I would have said they were completely out of their mind. As it turns out I'm the one who turned out to be completely out of my mind for the little girls. Who knew??

Chickens help make me slow down to the speed of life.

Everything is MULTI-TASKING everyday 24/7. As a child we are taught to be more and more productive so the saying that "we need to take time to smell the roses" but as society dictates keep up the pressure until you "EXPLODE"!!!! These little girls let me sit in a lounge chair with a cup of coffee and LMAO over the simple things like watching the dog lay there while my 10 week old girls run around him and peck his feet, tail, or until he must get up and move. LOL

They are just so comical to watch. They are always surprising me with new stuff. I love watching the 3 of them stretching and reaching for things that are just out of the reach, and they bounce and jump up and down until they knock it off the wall or fence. Watching them jump up and down just cracks me up. HUGE POPCORN CHICKENS!!! LOL

They even come running to me now when I call. They are so very fast I can hardly close the gate now with out them getting by me. Funny little creature. I have made it a point to hold, love, stroke each one daily and now they will stand under me or at my feet or come to my chair I sit on to be stroked and loved by me on their own. It adorable how they just become limp in you hands and be so submissive to your attention to them. I just love it and can't get enough. My wife thinks I'm nuts but just laugh with me.

I gave a plat of left over Spagetti to Mrs. Fluffy Puffy and her clutch, and she started going crazy, calling to them saying "Look, look, look!! This is sooo yummy!!" She would then pick up a piece of pasta, and show it to them and then put it on the ground for them, she kept on doing that until she had a fair sized pile of pasta!!

Her chicks ( and keets) finally got the idea and went crazy...I think they thought they're worms!

My husband refuses to be charmed by my chickens and continues to think I've lost it when I fuss over them. Last week we had company over for dinner who hadn't been to our house for a very long time. During that time we had a major addition to our house built, a big landscaping job, my husband had finally got his classic car out of storage and into our new garage and I had built a chicken coop, mostly out of scrap wood and leftovers and got 8 chickens. Imagine my husbands disgust when our company was more interested in going and watching the chickens play than ooohing and aaaahing over the new grill or garage. Poor hubby.
