New from Alaska

Thanks everyone, I hope to start posting around here more once I start constructing the coop, but that's several months away.
:celebrate Welcome, and congratulations on the room to make all of my dreams come true!
You need; horses, mini cows, goats, 75 chickens, quail, ducks, turkeys and penguins. :D

Haha, I don't know about ALL of those, but I was thinking pigs in a few years!

@InteriorAK - A big welcome from the opposite end of the U.S. :welcome

I am curious to know how you made it to Alaska? Why did you decide to/end up living there? Such beautiful country- would love to come up and visit Kodiak and Lake Clark area. What is the hunting like up there?

The "why" is a long story haha, but I'll keep it short and say for work. I'm in aviation maintenance and work for a defense contractor. I was living in the northeast for a few years and not really enjoying it. Had my eye on Texas/Arizona, but the opportunity in Alaska popped up out of nowhere and I just ran with it. Been a few years up here now.

Lots of moose! Some caribou herds around as well, though I haven't been able to make it out yet.
