Hi there

I'm very new to chickens.

I have two Isa Browns and two Sussex, one with a black collar and one with a silver collar.
I'm waiting for my first egg as they are at the 20week point. I've been told to listen out for different noises??

I've read people's post about an 'egg song' and I've no idea what that is!

Your girls should be laying any time soon!

The egg song is the sound they make just after laying an egg!
In the wild it would distract a predator away from the nest to protect the nest.

I don't do very good chicken imitations but the egg song is something like Bok, bok, bok, BA GAWK!!!!
