Oops, I forgot to do this introduction, so now I'm doing it! I'm Monika out in Baldwin Park, CA. I've had poultry all my life, and my parents lobbied to change the laws in San Gabriel when I was a kid to allow backyard poultry citing it was natural pest control.
Among my various pets, I currently have a flock of ducks, full grown from babies that I fostered for a humane society, a Silkie, and a White Crested Black Polish. I volunteer taking my chickens to retirement homes for the folks to interact with them. I have been on this forum for a while for information, but finally mustered up the courage to join. I was at the So Cal meetup today, and had a great time!
