My wife and I have finally gotten around to building out first coop and will be getting chicks this week. First time having chickens, we have been around them some in the past but now we will have some of our own.
She has picked out 4 chicks from out local chicken place, I’m not sure on the breeds I left that up to her. She’s a veterinarian, I’m just the coop builder
We live on the lake and do a lot of boating and fishing, our dog (boxer) loves being on the lake, it will be interesting to see how the chickens take to it.
We found BYC searching for info while building the coop. I ended up building a pretty unique coop (mobile since it floods here)I’ll probably post up the build process
