I wanted to say hi. I have 3 children and #4 due in June. We recently bought 5 chicks (our first ever) and are enjoying every moment.
We have 2 RIRs, 2 Americaunas (I think that is what the guy said) and 1 New Hampshire Red. I am guessing they are around 3 weeks old, but the NHR is probably a week older. They are all hens. We got them from a local farm.
They tolerate my children but love to sit in my lap.
After lurking for a little while I have already learned so much. And, looking forward to learning more and meeting other chicken lovers.
