Hello I have 2 black sex links, 2 brown sex links, 3 barred, 2 white mystery gals all of them are about 4 months old. Then last week a friend gave me 3 chickens that are about 2 years old. 1 is a brown Sex link and I don't know the others 2 breeds. they are laying eggs every day for the most part though so they must be happy. I'm kind of worried about 1 of them her flank feathers are molting. but the skin doesn't look red or anything so I guess it's ok. Going to post a pic and see what you all think.

don't no 4 sure but I have head of mites doing that. just something to think about.

it does look kinda red, maybe you have feather pluckers in your midst. Or could be from lice or mites.

I'll go get some mite dusting tomorrow. I think the red you are seeing is shadow. It doesn't look red in real life but dusting is a good idea just to be safe.
