you could put golf balls in the nest boxes - chickens do think they are real eggs, and even predators like snakes, will swallow them.

This time of year, when the days are lengthening, adding light should not be necessary. Sometimes the stress of moving will cause birds to stop laying for a time, but that varies with different birds. Some will molt, and not lay again until they are done. My best advice would be - Patience!

Welcome to BYC. Give them time to adjust to their new home. Day length is increasing and your pullets are maturing - egg production will start relatively soon.
