Shellbell-I have heard of Orchard's country store. I will have to check that place out. I totally forgot that someone told me about getting supplies there!
Yes, Diatomaceous Earth is supposed to be great stuff for preventing mites, and intestinal worms and all sorts of parasites. I guess it dries up the bugs - but you have to be careful b/c it harms good bugs too so you don't want to spread it everywhere. People say you put it in the chicken feed, in their bedding, and even on the chickens themselves (sounds weird but that is what I've read). I guess you just have to be careful to wear a mask b/c it is really fine stuff. I think it is a natural alternative for parasite control. I am going to give it a try - don't have any problems yet but want to prevent any from happening!
I will start a new thread - for DE in Indy - and if there are enough people we can place an order!
