Hi everyone. Not sue how much I'll be around since I'm a member of several online forums (time consuming!) but I love reading more about raising chickens.
I just started my first flock this spring. I got 4 pullets: A buff orpington, a red, a plymouth rock barred and a silver laced wyandotte (penelope, clementine, rosie and petunia, respectively). I raised them from about a week old in my garage and now they live outside.
They are now about 8 weeks. I bought a coop from a lampasas high school ffa and completely renovated and painted it. I'm married with a daughter, 2 dogs, parakeets and fish, and now we love the chickens too. We can't wait to get our first eggs
