Well, i didn't know grow up here either, but like you my gypsy soul has settled here for the time.

Oh I grew up in Maine, just not this county.

I am in Central Maine, next to Franklin county! I have grown up here, so did my father. Most of the people on our road are my family.

I love that chicken!! If i didnt already exceed my maximum permitted ( hubby`s rule no more than 50 at a time.... dont judge me) id so be researching them and probably buying them right now. I think im addicted to chickens.

Welcome to BYC! I'm with you and @IamRainey on loving the sound of the chickens. Sitting outside with them is just so pleasant and soothing. Looking forward to cooler weather so I can do it more - I expect you end up with the opposite troubles.

I'm just a little late to the game... but I'm from the greater Bangor area. And I get what you mean when you say you might be addicted to chickens... We're at 120 birds(113 chickens, 7 guineas) and I'm hatching more starting in March... oops
