We're near Mt Airy -- technically Sykesville - but that's just because of the zip.

My mom & I come up to Thurmont for the craft fair every year!

You are very close by. I hatch chicks of various breeds. Keep me in mind if you decide you want to get some more at a later date. I work in Columbia and drive throug Mt. Airy ever day. I frequent the Tractor Supply and Southern States in Mt. Airy for various supplies.

Thanks Neighbor! I sometimes think our family keeps TSC in Mt Airy in business!

Welcome to the BYC!! It's nice to see another Marylander on here. I'm new to chicken raising too, but so far, so good. My babies will be 3 weeks old on Wed. I can't wait to get them out in their coop and watch them run around and enjoy their new home!

Welcome!
Hello from Southern MD! My chicks are 8 weeks old and still living in the house. Oh my!!! We are busy this week painting the coop. Have fun with your chicks. I'm really enjoying ours. Try to get your coop finished by the time they are 3-4 weeks old - after that you will be surprised at how much dust and poo they generate.
