Hi all,
After wanting chickens for 20 years we finally got some a few months ago. We have purebred Wheaten and Blue Wheaten Ameraucanas, a Golden Laced Wyandotte and a Buff Orpington and are thinking of adding Welsummers and/or Marans. We got them for eggs, fertilizer, bug control, lawn ornaments, and pets. It is funny how many people say, "You have chickens!" (with a disgusted look on their face) and then end up sitting next the coop fascinated by their antics.
